Since MS is offering a free upgrade to Windows 10, many will upgrade. How about you?

Personally, I have been testing the Win 10 Preview since it was first available and although I don't have anything bad to say about it, the new OS doesn't wow me enough to bother upgrading any of my current Win 7 or Win 8.1 machines. I'm not impressed with the new Start menu, the Edge browser is still very lacking and other new features like Cortana and Hello don't appeal to me.

Most likely I will not install Win 10 until I build a new machine and need to buy an OS for it.

I've been testing the 10 TP also since it was first made available and I actually like it a lot.
One of the best features especially for my Windows phone, is Cortana.

I will definitely be getting the free version of 10 but I'll be doing a clean install.
I'll be keeping two boxes, one with 7 and the other with 8.1.

    I'm in agreement with Cindy.
Have been using the Win10 TP since it was available and now it's near the end..... it's a nice OS.
Only tried the 'Edge' browser once as I'm a Firefox person. ( only FF gives me all the addons i need)
Presently have (apart from the Win10 TP) one WinXP system, two Win7 systems and two Win8.1 systems..... so one of the 8.1 systems will get the upgrade to Win10.... and possibly one of the Win7 systems.

I will be moving soon to a Windows Phone Cindy. I have been using Android for a long time and it's time for a change.

As far as Windows 10 Desktop absolutely. It might be the last nice MS OS we get. Like Starbuck I also run several iterations of Windows I still have an old W95 box too but that one is not running currently.

The android phones drove me nuts.

Now that I have been using a Windows phone for the past two years, I'll never go back to an android.

Cortana was a very welcome addition. My daughter likes it better than Siri.

I used a Nokia W8 phone as a temp for a few days when mine was broken and I was so impressed at how fluid the UI was and how intuitive it was. I wanted one that day but I have this one on contract , however it's over soon. I can't wait to get the Windows phone!

I know I will have at least one system upgraded. N ormally I would insist on a clean install but everything I have read lately makes me want to try the upgrade as it sounds as if the process has finally been perfected and that we won't see the issues of the past. For that reason I really want to try it to see if they are right because I will make a final image file of whatever pc I take to 10 anyway so I can always return if I hate it.

I am going to try it on my laptop. I will not do it on this W 7 desktop.

Yeah me too I am finally happy with my main desktop and the last thing I want to do is put this system "on the block".

I love my W 7, I think it is the best version I have used. People keep carrying on about XP and I think 7 is much better, except for no quick launch bar. It was also a little harder to get used to.Whenever I have had a problem with computer I have always enjoyed fixing the problem, no frustration at all. That is changing for some reason, age probably.

Actually there is a great "quick launch bar" that is 3rd party and I use it in 8 as well as 7:

I can't stand that "pin to taskbar" approach as the icons are stationery and too far apart for my taste.
